Children in need get the chance to perform at Radio City Music Hall

If you’ve lost your faith in humanity, you might want to consider checking out The Garden of Dreams Talent Show on June 18 at Radio City Music Hall. The annual event gives over 100 kids from all over the tri-state area the chance to perform on one of the most legendary stages in New York City.

Many of the children are facing extreme challenges such as homelessness, poverty, illness or foster care. This event is a break from the overwhelming stressors they are forced to battle every day.

Rehearsals for the big event start next week and the non-profit’s mentors will be working hard with the kids to get them ready for their performance in which they hope to attract celebrity mentors. Celebrities who have volunteered with the organization in the past include Susan Sarandon, Dave Chappelle, The Strokes, Sara Bareilles, Seth Myers and Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC, to name just a few.
