An elderly woman died a week after police said neighbor pushed her to the ground and broke her hip.
Flomena Vargas, 96, died on Monday in NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital after a week of observation and care by doctors treating her injury.

Paramedics took Vargas to the nearby hospital in stable condition at the time.
Authorities tracked down her alleged shover, 24-year-old Hansel Ramirez, who lives a few buildings away from Vargas.
Officers charged Ramirez with assault, but NYPD said the investigation was ongoing.
