A little bit of cash and a single pack of cigarettes together sound like a lousy reason to commit a felony, but cops allege that two people did just that.

The NYPD is searching for two suspects, one male and one female, following a robbery at knifepoint at a convenience store at 230 E. 80th St. The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Cops said the male suspect displayed a knife and demanded cash from the store clerk. He reportedly made off with $350 and a single pack of cigarettes. The NYPD said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and later seen wearing a black baseball cap, dark jacket and white t-shirt.

Authorities stated that they believe a second suspect, a white woman wearing a medium colored jacket and black backpack, was also involved.

The NYPD encouraged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or to text 274637 (CRIMES) and then enter TIP577.
