Dead man found in vacant house in Bronx

A dead man was discovered inside a vacant house in the Bronx on Monday, authorities said.

A homeowner purchased the house on Bainbridge Avenue in Fordham Manor in an auction, the New York Post reported, and found the body of a man who was possibly squatting there.

An NYPD spokesman told Metro that the man, in his 30s, had trauma to his head, which does not necessarily mean he was beaten.

The investigation is ongoing, the spokesman said, and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
