As a naked statue of Donald Trump was unveiled by political protesters in Union Square Thursday morning, the DNC was holding a much different protest outside of Trump Tower in Midtown. A man in a Donald Duck costume, wearing a yellow wig, was joined by other protesters encouraging Donald Trump to publish his tax returns.
Why Donald Duck, you may ask? Especially when Scrooge McDuck is clearly the more appropriate avatar for Trump’s persona in the “DuckTales” universe?

Well, folks, the implication is that Donald “ducks” the question about his tax records, a woman who identified herself as a “spokesperson for Donald Ducks” told am New York. “Is he ducking because he’s not as rich as he says he is?” she reportedly said. “Is he ducking because he doesn’t donate to charities like he says he does?” She also suggested Trump may be paying a lower tax rate than most Americans or has “foreign investments that could compromise national security.”
“Mr. Trump can expect to see me all across our great country,” she reportedly added, speaking for Donald Ducks. “Mr. Ducks is not going to stop quacking until the other Donald releases his taxes.” Donald Ducks plans to be in Charlotte, North Carolina, outside a Trump rally there Thursday evening, according to am New York. His next stops will be Friday in Minnesota, Michigan and Virginia. As for Hillary Clinton, her family’s latest tax returns demonstrate that she and Bill brought home $10.6 million in 2015 and $27.9 million in 2014. Around the same time Thursday morning, further downtown in Union Square, an “anarchist collective” called INDECLINE, according to the Washington Post, unveiled a naked Trump statue. The idea behind the life-size statue is to humilate The Donald by stripping away his confidence, the Post said. Similar nude Trump statues were being installed Thursday morning in public spaces in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Cleveland and Seattle, according to the Post.
