East Village rapist sentenced to 14 years

A man who pursued a 22 year old woman to her East Village home and sexually assaulted her in 2014will spend the next 14 years in prison.

Fermin Flores, 33, pleaded guilty to first-degree rape earlier this year, according to Manhattan DA Cy Vance.

Floresfollowing the victim home in January 2014, and forced his way into her apartment on East Seventh Street between First and Second Avenues. He will serve an additional five years of supervision after his release from prison, Vance said.
