A man fatally shot himself after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, killing him, in Brooklyn Thursday evening.

In East Flatbush after 5 p.m., police stated that a gunman allegedly shot his former girlfriend, 33, and her current boyfriend, 44, as they sat in a car together at East 91st Street and Clarkson, CBS reported, adding that the suspect then crossed the street and shot himself fatally.

“I just heard the gunshots at first, probably like at least eight or nine,” witness Michaela Bascomb said to CBS.

The man in the car was struck in the head while the woman was shot in the torso, Pix 11 reported.

“[The alleged shooter] was just very jealous,” said Judith Bristol, a friend of the targeted woman, in a related New York Daily News report. “Lovers quarrel, I guess. She broke up with him, and he couldn’t accept it.”

The woman was in stable condition at Kings County Hospital, police stated to CBS, which added that authorities have not identified those involved in the incident.
