UPDATE 5:30 pm — It is still unclear whether the 7 Train will be back fully. The icing problems faced by the 7’s third elevated tracks in Queens will likely be aided by tomorrow’s temps, which @metronewyork @wjbreports writes will hit 40 degrees. Click here. Balmy! But don’t get too happy: More snow is on tap for Thursday’s commute.

UPDATE — 4 pm.
As the evening commute unfolds, most lines were fully running after this morning’s mess — except the No. 7.

The MTA admits a series of simultaeneous circumstances caused extra pain for commuters.

“Two sick passengers, two track fires and some signal trouble. Some days are challenging,” agency spokesman Kevin Ortiz told Metro.

There is limited7train service betweenTimes Square-42 StandFlushing-Main Stin both directions.
There will be no7express train service running today.
Please allow extra time for your commute.

Things just got a whole lot worse.

6 Train
Due to signal problems atParkchester, southbound6trains are making local stops from Parkchester to Hunts Point Av.
Allow additional travel time.

4, 5 Trains
Due to signal problems at59 St-Lexington Av, southbound,trains are running with delays.
Allow additional travel time.

F Train
Due to FDNY activity atBriarwood-Van Wyck Blvd,northboundFtrains are running express fromForest Hills-71 AvtoParsons Blvd. E, F. Rtrain service has resumed with residual delays.

B Train
Due to icy conditions,trains are running local in both directions betweenBrighton BeachandProspect Park.

N, Q, R
