Free drinks & food deals, thanks Winter Storm Jonas!

Blizzard or not, you gotta eat (and probably drink). Luckily, where there are snowstorms, there are discounts and giveaways to get you to put on your galoshes and warmest mittens. Restaurants around the city are gearing up for this weekend’s blizzard with great food and a place to ride out the storm.

If you find yourself trekking down to the Lower East Side on Saturday, Ambrose Beer and Lobster at South Street Seaport will be giving away cups of Warm Apple Pie Cider (cinnamon makes it a pie, Captain Morgan makes it fun). Just ask for it!

California-style Mexican chain Blockheads is offering their Bulldog Margaritas — which adds a bottle of beer tipped into the cocktail — for $5 at all of its locations. They are also offering an unlimited champagne brunch for $17.95 at their new East Village location.

Italian fast-casual spot Aunt Jake’s opened just this week at 151 Mulberry St., serving cooked-to-order pastas with six specialty sauces daily. For your carb-related needs this weekend, every delivery order of at least $20 will come with free bombolones: ricotta doughnuts with caramel dipping sauce.

Speaking of carbo-loading to keep the cold away, KOA (12 W. 21st St.) will serve its ramen — try the spicy Dan Dan soup — and sorba noodle dishes with a free shot of hot sake.

At Hotel Chantelle (92 Ludlow St.), every dinner guest will get free mulled wine (cinnamon-sugar rim!) during the storm. Grab a seat in the glass-covered rooftop dining room to watch the snow come down.

On Saturday and Sunday, all three locations of The Meatball Shop will be offering $5 Warm & Cozy cocktails (Laird’s Applejack, cider and cinnamon), $4 Mini Buffalo Balls and $2 Jello shots.

If snow is a reason to celebrate for you, cheer on Winter Storm Jonas at new Midtown lounge 5th & MAD (7 E. 36th St.), where each inch of accumulation means a free shot of Jim Beam Fire to keep you toasty.

It’s happy hour all weekend at Virgil’s Real Barbecue (152 W. 44th St.), with $4 pints/$12 pitchers of Budweiser and Bud Light, and $5 pints/$15 pitchers of Goose Island. Food specials are on, too, with half-price Trainwreck Fries (with melted cheddar and jack cheeses, smoked bacon, scallions, pickled jalapenos with ranch dressing) and BBQ Nachos.
