In case you haven’t heard, this weekend is going to be snowy and cold. But shoveling snow isn’t your ownly free workout option. The classes we highlight here are open to the public and 100 percent free. Willing to pay for your hot bod? Head to Physique 57’s newest location, located in the Financial District.

Studio opening:

Barre class destination Physique 57 pulled out all the stops when designing its FiDi location. The new space is bright, chic and one of the studios has a beautiful view of the Hudson, so you can transport yourself to another place when your thighs feel like they’re on fire. Still not movivated to get down there? For the first time, you can create your own barre workout through the brand’s customizable playlist at ondemand.physique57.com.

Tai Chi Chuuan

Wave Hill House (W. 249 St. and Independence Ave., Bronx)

A mix of martial arts and gentle movements, Tai Chi Chuuan is a great way to get your body warmed up without doing anything too intense. The class is designed for all levels, so whether you’re already a pro or it’s your very first time, you’ll get something out of the class either way.

New York Road Runners Open Run
Jan. 24, 9 a.m.
Carmine Carro Community Center in Marine Park (3000 Filmore Ave., Brooklyn)

See the snow while jogging or walking with this neighborhood run group. Runners of all experience levels are welcome so you can use this to improve your mile time or just walk and talk with your friends. Feel free to bring your dog or stroller, too.
