You’ll no longer have to slip Chick-fil-A sandwiches into your coat pocket for a fried chicken fix on game night.

David Chang’s fried chicken empire Fuku gains another stronghold tonight, opening inside Madison Square Garden in time for the New York Rangers-Vancouver Canucks hockey game. The Fuku stand will serve a limited menu of its original fried chicken sandwich, potato wedge “fries” and Milk Bar cookies.

The stand, located on the SAP concourse, will be open during all Garden events. This is the restaurant’s third location since opening last June in the East Village.

It’s been a good month for the area surrounding MSG, with the Cinnamon Snail making its triumphant return with the opening of The Pennsy food hall and Gov. Andrew Cuomo promising to make Penn Station less of a “miserable experience.” Adding more quality fried chicken options — Chick-fil-A is nearby as well — will go a long way to making that a reality.
