One pedestrian was reportedly injured when glass fell from the DoubleTree Hotel in Midtown Thursday afternoon.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries after the incident, ABC7NY reported. The pedestrian was walking by the hotel on Lexington Avenue and East 51st street when they were struck.
The incident happened at 2:50 p.m. The FDNY was investigating the cause, according to NYC.gov.
A witness told DNAinfo that the window had been "broken since Saturday."
“The window was broken since Saturday, people from the nail salon complained at the front desk and they didn't do anything,” said barber Antonio Cartolano, 81, who reportedly works nearby.
