A construction worker was injured on Wednesday when the wall of a Hell’s Kitchen parking garage collapsed on the working crew that was demolishing it.
Paramedics rushed the unidentified man to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Fire officials said he was expected to recover.
The five-story building at West 57th Street and Eleventh Avenue began to fall on the workers at around 2:40 p.m.
All 16 workers were accounted for soon after emergency services arrived at the scene, and no passersby were injured.
