A 4-month-old girl was pronounced dead Saturday night after police found her unconscious and unresponsive inside a Bronx apartment.

On Jan. 9 at 10:41 p.m. police responded the a 911 call of an unresponsive child at 1146 Ogden Ave.

When officers arrived, they found Akira Williams unconscious, according to authorities.

Emergency personnel transported the infant to Lincoln Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

According to police there was no apparent trauma to the baby and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is still ongoing.
