Rosé is the perfect spring wine. It’s our reward for huddling indoors for five months, emerging bleary from our mulled cider haze into the sunshine and a waiting glass of lightly sweetened sunshine.

Which is great, until the party stops. But your wine glass doesn’t have to run dry. Six restaurants and 10 wine shops around the city partnered with Wines of Germany for 31 Days of German Riesling to better make the acquaintance of the continent’s refreshingly crisp, dry white wine.

Taste through the varieties (each restaurant offers two) by the glass at special prices, or stop by for an in-store tasting. Participants include Terroir at the Porch on the High Line for maximum summer atmosphere and people-watching, and John Dory Oyster Bar. Check out the full list of participants and a schedule of tastings.

And for the whole month, if you tag your glamorous Instas and tweets with #ReachforRiesling at any restaurant, you will be enterted into a contest for a wine refrigerator and a $2,000 gift card to Wine.com to stock it.
