Jets, Giants send scouts to UNC, Boston College and Syracuse pro days

The New York Jets sent two coaches and a scout to Boston College on Tuesday for the Golden Eagles’ pro day.

A source tells Metro that defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers and secondary coach Dennard Wilson both attended the Boston College pro day along with a scout. The Giants also had a scout at the event, a source said.

The Giants were also at North Carolina’s pro day Tuesday morning, with two representatives. General manager Jerry Reese was on hand as was longtime scout Steve Verderosa. The Jets also had quarterback coach Jeremy Bates, special teams coordinator Bryant Boyer and offensive assistant Jason Vrable at the event. In addition, scouts Jay Mandolesi and Lee Gissendaner were at the Tar Heels event.

Both teams also checked in on Tuesday at Toledo’s pro day, sources say. They were among 29 teams present (the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers did not attend).

Metro reported that at Monday’s Syracuse pro day, the Giants and Jets both sent a representative to the workout. A source said that the Jets were represented by Dan Zbojovsky, their coordinator of college scouting. On the other side, the Giants sent executive scout Jeremiah Davis to check in on the Orange.​
