Jon “Bones” Jones, the UFC light heavyweight champion, tested positive for traces of cocaine prior to his successful title defense last Saturday night in Las Vegas. Jones reportedly checked himself into a drug treatment center on Tuesday.

Jones is the brother of two current NFL players, both of whom will participate in playoff games this coming weekend. Chandler Jones, the youngest of the three, is a 24-year-old defensive end for the Patriots, who will be facing the Ravens on Saturday. Big brother Arthur Jones (28-years-old), a former Raven, is now on the Colts, who will play at Denver Sunday.

“I want to apologize to my fiancée, my children, as well as my mother, father, and brothers for the mistake that I made,” Jon Jones said in a statement, via TMZ. “I also want to apologize to the UFC, my coaches, my sponsors and equally important to my fans. I am taking this treatment program very seriously.”

The brothers often show each other support on Twitter, as Jon re-tweeted @LaMonicaMark on Sunday: “Another big weekend for the Jones brothers. @JonnyBones defends #UFC title. @Artj97 advances in #NFLPlayoffs. @Chan95Jones had the bye.”

Arthur Jones tweeted prior to Jones’ victory over Daniel Cormier last weekend: “You mess with one Jones, you mess with them all! Dominate @jonnybones. @chan95jones and I will be in the cage with you tonight! Love you champ! Flow like water #legacy @muscletech #andstill”

Arthur also tweeted out this Instagram photo of the brothers.

Chandler Jones tweeted on Saturday night: “Game over! Goodnight folks!” and re-tweeted @SportsCenter: That moment after winning 12 consecutive fights and defending your title belt for the 8th time.”
