Shake Shack is bringing a taste of Los Angeles to Madison Square Park.

When the Shack was looking to introduce itself to the West Coast earlier this year, chefs Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook hosted a sneak preview dinner at their acclaimed Southern-style seafood restaurant Son of a Gun.

This Friday, Oct. 28, Danny Meyer’s crew returns the favor by bringing Son of a Gun’s fried chicken sandwich, named one of LA’s most iconic dishes by Eater earlier this year, to its Madison Square Park location. The Son of a Gun Chick’n Shack uses Shake Shack’s buttermilk-marinated chicken breast, fried and topped with spicy bread&butter pickle slaw and rooster aioli on a potato roll.

The sandwich costs $6.49 and available for one day only — but even waiting in that line beats a plane ticket to Los Angeles to try it.
