Seafood boils: Final days for crab feasts
Regular Southern-style seafood boils have been a summer staple around town, but this weekend is your last chance to crack into many of them. At Back Forty, Sept. 3 and 5 close out Crab-a-Palooza 2015, where $50 gets you a tableful of Old Bay-spiced crab with a bunch of traditional sides and summer fruit cobbler for dessert. Narcissa makes it Carolina style, with a lowcountry boil ($45) on its patio Sept. 5-6 with blue crab, shrimp and sausage, plus hush puppies and carrot cake. And the Jamaican Jerk Crab Boil at Miss Lily's 7a had been set to end (an amazing deal at $38 for a shareable feast of six crabs, sides and banana pudding) this weekend but has been extended until Sept. 21 or 28, depending on market availability.
