The NYPD has arrested a Brooklyn man on charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon after a Tuesday night shooting.

Police say Herman Lancaster, 30, is responsible for shooting Kerwim Craigwell, 42, in front of a deli on Nostrand Avenue near Flatbush Avenue.

Craigwell was shot in the lower back, and later pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

Lancaster allegedly shot Craigwell for not respecting his status in the “Insane Gangsta Crips” gang, the Daily News reported, citing a police source. Lancaster has been arrested in the past for burglary and trespassing, and served a year and a half in prison, the News reported.
