A man was fatally struck by a 6 train Wednesday morning on the Upper East Side, disrupting service during the morning rush, according to the MTA.

Officials told DNAinfo that the person was struck at the 77th Street station just before 8 a.m. after jumping in front of a train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident caused extensive delays in 4, 5 and 6 service, but resumed at about 9:30 a.m. with residual delays.
