The NYPD is looking for two suspects they say shot a man in Long Island City after he refused to hand over a gold chain.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was walking in the area of 13-05 43rd Ave. with a 26-year-old man around 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25 when a suspect tried to take the victim’s gold chain, police said. RELATED: Accused cop killer Tyrone Howard booked on murder charges A struggle ensued, and one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the victim in his abdomen and thigh. The suspect also fired in the direction of the 26-year-old victim but missed.
The man who was shot is in stable condition, police said.
