It's the end of another long week at a job that doesn't speak to you in the way the pots and pan in your cupboards at home do. If you've got ambitions to be a chef and can handle having Gordon Ramsay tell you otherwise, "MasterChef" is holding an open call this weekend.

Auditions for the eighth season of the reality TV competition for home cooks will be held this Saturday at the Doubletree Suites Times Square beginning at 10 a.m. Ironically, there is no cooking at these auditions. Hopefuls get 3 minutes to plate a prepared dish, but they have no way to chill or warm it. So leave the cream sauce at home and... bring your best loaf of bread?

Casting calls will continue around the country through April 30. Season 8 begins filming on Aug. 1 and lasts for nine weeks.
