A K-9 cop named after a slain NYPD officer is now patrolling the city streets with his handler, Officer John Etienne.
Randy is trained in explosive detection and worksunder the NYPD’s Counterterrorism Bureau K-9 Unit, the NYPD said.
Randy is named for Detective Randolph Holder, anofficer that was killed in the line of dutya year ago. There was a memorial held on Thursday to mark the one-year anniversary of his death.
