Mock drafts are like bunions: Annoying as anything and everyone has one. Maybe even two. So why bother with them?

That’s a good question and one worth pondering. In the meantime, SB Nation has developed a series of pie charts to help condense and consolidate the whole process of figuring out mock drafts. Their ‘Mock Draft Database Chart’ takes the picks from the most popular and widely read mocks, analyzes them and then provides data on the top picks for each team.

In some cases, it is pure confusion. The New York Giants, slated to pick at No. 23 this April, have “Others” as the selection 52.3 percent of the time. Most Giants fans must hope that “Others” is a highly-rated left tackle who can force Ereck Flowers to the other side of the offensive line.

That’s a joke. Sort of.

After “Others” the top pick with 18.2 percent of the vote is Miami tight end David Njoku followed by Alabama tight end O.J. Howard.

The New York Jets, picking No. 6 after a dumpster fire of a 2016 season that has been followed by an equally dumpster, equally fiery offseason have cornerback Marshon Lattimore falling to them 31.8 percent of the time in all mock drafts. “Others” rears his head again at 22.7 percent of all mocks, in a virtual tie with running back Leonard Fournette.

Sources say that the Jets like “Others” and have graded him as high as Dee Milliner, taken in the first round a couple years ago.
