Everyone deserves an office holiday party — at least, that’s the idea behind the No Office Holiday Party, which brings together freelancers, contract workers and part-timers who don’t get to have an official end-of-year fete to blow off steam with colleagues. Now in its fifth year, the No Office Holiday Party (a product of The Skint and Brokelyn) is part celebration, part networking event.

This is going to be your most bizarre holiday party this year, no matter how drunk your boss gets at the company’s open bar. Psycho Clan, the artistic team behind Nightmare Haunted House, are putting on “a crazy Midwestern Christmas lawn come to life,” with karaoke, a pretend ice-skating rink and a mistletoe forest. The fun culminates on the lap of one of six twisted Santas (like Bernie Santas or Hanukklaus) for a souvenir photo.

You might have seen Nick Kroll and John Mulaney present their crotchety characters Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland on “The Kroll Show,” and now you can see them live in a full-length show called “Oh, Hello.” The wacky Upper West Side retirees will discuss their views on everything from local politics to (of course) the failures of this good-for-nothing generation — including hilarious anecdotes about their own fictional, messed-up families.

There are sleighfuls of Christmas concerts coming to the city this week, but the New York Pops offers a special kind of joyous playfulness that few orchestras can match. Their holiday concert features everyone’s favorite seasonal tunes sung by Tony Award nominees Stephanie J. Block (“Wicked”) and Brian D’Arcy James (“Something Rotten”).

“Oh, What Fun! A Philharmonic Holiday”

The New York Philharmonic is collaborating with the New York Gay Men’s Choir for a fun mix of holiday classics along with “choralography,” plus a special rendition of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” by opera star Eric Owens and a Christmas carol singalong for the whole audience.

Williamsburg’s movie theater-video rental-bar is throwing a “Gilmore Girls” party to celebrate the show’s legacy and share the excitement of its revival. Add one last foodie adventure to 2015 with the year’s final Dinner Lab experience this Friday. Choose from one of two seating times and join other open-minded eaters for a one-night-only dining experience at a pop-up venue. An Evening of True Holiday Tales

On Sunday, historical nonfiction writers Alex Palmer, Bess Lovejoy and Alison Kinney come together at KGB Bar to discuss some of these outlandish holiday hijinks over themed cocktails.

Make Music Winter

Make Music Winter, now in its 10th year, spreads holiday cheer with live music on the streets of NYC on winter’s longest and darkest night of the year: Winter Solstice. The volunteer musicians may be singing, ringing bells, drumming, dancing, riding a bike with a horn or playing a track on their phones. Together, everyone creates the city’s largest free concert at up to 1,000 sites.
