New York jeweler donates money from Ivanka Trump purchase to Clinton campaign

The price of fashion is high. It cost Ivanka Trump $84 and an egg-covered face, it seems.

All Trump wanted was an ear cuff. If Jill Martinelli and Sabine Le Guyader’s jewelry line, Lady Grey, is good enough for Beyonce and Rihanna, it’s good enough for the White House. Apparently, Trump ordered the piece on the line’s website.

On Tuesday, the designers posted on Instagram a handwritten note they penned to the possible next first daughter.

“Dear Ivanka, Thank you for your web order!,” the note read. “We’re happy to let you know that the proceeds of your sale have been generously donated to the American Immigration Council, the Everytown for Gun Safety Organization, and the Hillary Clinton campaign. We hope you enjoy your new Lady Grey #helixcuff. Best, Jill + Sabine Lady Grey”

“The note was included in her package and shipped last week directly from our studio in Brooklyn,” Martinellitold NY Magazine’s The Cut. “While we were flattered to receive an order from Ivanka Trump, our social and political views couldn’t be further from those of the Trump campaign. When we received her order, we instantly felt compelled to take the money and donate it to a few organizations that were more aligned with our ideals.”
