New Yorkers take to streets to capture Manhattanhenge 2016

Yesterday, New Yorkers came out in droves to to photographManhattanhenge — the phenomenon when the sun aligns perfectly with the city’s grid allowing people to see the sunset from east to west in the Manhattan streets.

The best locations to capture the sunsetwere at: 14th Street, 23rd Street, 34th Street, 42nd Street and 57th Street looking west.

If you missed yesterday’s sunset because you were too busy playing Pokémon Go, don’t worry. You can catch Manhattanhenge again this evening.

At 8:20 p.m. you can catch a half sunset at the same locations along Manhattan’s grid.

Ya te conte lo que es el #Manhattanhenge! Hace un tiempito! Si no lo leiste te cuento otra vez por q podes ver esto en la ciudad mañana! ? Es un evento natural que se produce 2 veces al año, cuando el sol poniente se alinea perfectamente con las calles de #NYC orientadas Este-Oeste. Mañana martes 12 de julio alrededdor de las 8:00 pm se podrá observar como la mitad del sol se alinea perfectamente con las calles neoyorquinas, es impresionante y subrealista comenzó hoy, y mañana se podrá ver el fenómeno en su totalidad, así que si andas por #NY y hace un día despejado no te olvides de ir a una calle y ponerte a mirar hacía #NewJersey para ver el fenómeno en directo. Las mejores calles para poder disfrutar esta vista son la 14th (Union Square), 23th (donde se encuentra mi querido Flatiron Building), 34th (aca la oportunidad de jugar nada menos que con el Empire State), 42th (Grand Central Terminal, el edificio Chrysler, desde mi parque favorito de Nueva York, Bryant Park o Times Square) y 57th (Rockefeller Center), y se recomienda que vayas a estos puntos media hora antes de la hora indicada para poder agarrar el mejor lugar para disfrutar de este fenómeno, por q se llena de gente buscando la mejor foto- #SunsetLovers @aperolargentina
