It’s only mid-October, but already there are NFL fanbases that can’t wait for 2017 to get here – or rather, 2016 to end. You can now safely say that the Browns, Jets, Bears and 49ers are done as all have records of 1-5 or worse. The Panthers are also 1-5 but we’ll give the defending NFC representative in the Super Bowl a slim pickens shot at making a run. Obviously, everything is fluid when it comes to mock drafts right now. The actual draft is seven months away, college football is still going on, and players will fall and climb out of the first round picture with frequency. One dramatic change since our first mock draft, though, is that we now are certain that the Jets will be in the market for a QB next spring. Ryan Fitzpatrick had his last chance to impress on Monday in Arizona and he failed miserably. And it’s hard to imagine Geno Smith will turn into Cam Newton over the next few weeks. That’s why we have the Jets hitting the reset button under center in this mock, taking Clemson superstar Deshaun Watson. 1.Cleveland Browns: DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
