The investigation of a reported rape attempt last month involving a naked man in Brooklyn turned up video of a potential suspect “comfortably walking in the nude” on the same street two weeks earlier, police said. 

A woman reported to police last week that she was assaulted near East 55th Street and Avenue J in Flatlands by a completely naked man as she was going home. She reported that he creeped up behind her, grabbed her by the neck, threw her to the ground and forcibly touched her. The woman was able to fend him off and flee without further harm.

While collecting evidence, police discovered surveillance video dated Aug. 12 of a man with the same completely nude appearance as the attempted rapist.

Police are seeking for questioning the man observed walking in the video. He who is described as being 25 to 30 years old, with a thick build, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall.
