The New York City Brewers Guild is holding three major events beginning Saturday that gather together all of the local breweries taking part in Beer Week, but there are hundreds of tap takeovers, pairing dinners and other events happening across the city. Beer Week kicks off at the Altman Building with 40 breweries from all regions of the state and an unlimited ticket to sample their brews and snacks.Feb. 21, noon, $65, 135 W. 18th St.
Taste the next small thing in brewing as 15 home brewing groups bring out more than 50 of their beers to benefit City Harvest. They’ll also serve as the entertainment, including a “makeshift band” and DJ sets.Feb. 22, 1 p.m., $25-$85, 149 Seventh St., Brooklyn One of Queens’ most exciting breweries, Transmitter, is holding its largest takeover yet, bringing 10 beers to Clinton Hall.Feb. 23, 7 p.m., 90 Washington St.

Make it a late night at Dirck the Norseman as they uncork their new saison, made with six malted grains and aging in four oak barrels since April that all received a different strain of Brettanomyces yeast.Feb. 28, 11:59 p.m., 7 N. 15th St., Brooklyn Bid adieu to beer week at Brooklyn Bowl with food from Blue Ribbon, a brass band and, of course, lots of local brews.March 1, noon, $40, 61 Wythe Ave.
