The NYPD continues to look for a man who has attacked four Asian women in Manhattan over the last six days.
The most recent attack came on Monday afternoon, when the unidentified suspect hit a 41-year-old woman in the face with a bag with a heavy object inside, police said. The man tried to start a conversation with her earlier on Mulberry Street near Worth Street in Chinatown, and later returned and assaulted her, police said.
The alleged assailant started his bag-wielding rampage last Wednesday evening, when he hit two women in the face on two separate occasions. The first victim, a 35-year-old woman, was sitting on Grand Street around 4:15 p.m., and the second victim, 29, was walking down Park Avenue near East 30th Street when she was attacked around 10:20 p.m.
The man struck again early last Friday morning, hitting a 34-year-old woman in the forehead in the area of Second Avenue and East 60th Street.
The attacks were reported in downtown and midtown Manhattan. All the victims have been treated and released from area hospitals.
