NYPD sergeant arrested for allegedly choking girlfriend in her home

Police arrested an NYPD sergeant on accusations he harassed and choked his girlfriend at her Queens residence.

Sergio Gonzalez, 36, was off duty when he was arrested just before 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday at his girlfriend’s home, the New York Daily News reported.

Gonzalez was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief and harassment in connection to the incident, police said.
