An off-duty NYPD police officer was accused of punching a 71-year-old woman after the two had an argument about her dog.

Around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday, officer Vladimir Radionov, 46, was allegedly involved in a dispute with his elderly neighbor in the elevator of a Brooklyn building, the New York Daily News reported.

The dispute began when the woman tried to bring her dog into the elevator at their Seacoast Terrace residential complex in Brighton Beach, ABC7 reported. Radionov allegedly told the woman that dogs were not allowed.

Surveillance footage showed Radionov telling the woman to take the dog out of the elevator, the New York Post reported. When she refused, Radionov allegedly dragged her and the dog outside the elevator before punching her in the face.

After Radionov got back into the elevator, the woman allegedly retaliated by throwing a cup of coffee at him as the doors closed, the Post added.
