Overload your Bloody Mary with octopus, cheeses and more at this new DIY bar

Between Frosé and pie shakes and the natural inclination for tiki drinks during summer, it’s probably been a while since you’ve had a Bloody Mary.

Fix that this weekend at Kingsley (190 Ave. B), when the contemporary French-American restaurant launches a Build Your Own Bloody Mary & Maria Bar during brunch from noon to 4 p.m. Chef Roxanne Spruance is a former Midwesterner, where Bloody Mary Bars are basically an Olympic-level sport, so there’s some hometown pride at stake.

While Kingsley isn’t balancing a whole fried chicken on the rim (uh, sure), they’ve got over 20 OTT toppings like marinated octopus, roast ham, shrimp, bacon, cheeses, pickled vegetables and more to overload your $14 Bloodies. And since it shouldn’t get above the mid-80s this weekend, sip your creation in Kingsley’s backyard.
