For many years, the iconic Ziegfeld theater in New York City has been the place where A-list celebrities would come out in droves for major movie premieres and performances.

It wasn't uncommon to see large groups of fans and paparazzi outside the theater, trying to catch a glimpse at celebrities.

With news that the iconic theater will soon close it's doors, Metro is looking back at some of the biggest show premieres held at the world famous Ziegfeld.
