Words are out the emoji is in - the Oxford English Dictionary even named the tears of joy emoji its Word of the Year in 2015. They even have their own holiday, which takes place this weekend, and to celebrate Pepsi has released an app with over 1,000 Pepsimojis and is opening a pop-up gallery in SoHo called “Love: From Cave to Keyboard,” about all the ways to say “I love you” by saying nothing at all.

Step inside a cave with a virtual reality headset to see amorous cave drawings, send up smoke signals, watch two actors from Deaf West Theatre on a date using sign language and see some of the great pop cultural moments of love. Check out our photos from opening night, where Maggie Gyllenhaal unveiled a silent film she contributed to the exhibit and performances by DJ duo Lion Babe.

The exhibit is free and open to the public this weekend at 433 Broadway at Howard Street, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
