As New Yorkers, sometimes we get so caught up in the rush of getting to where we are supposed to be that we take for granted the iconic places we walk by every day. Roughly 650,000 people pass through Penn Station every day, most simply trying to get from point A to point b. But a new photo book will have you looking at the hub in a whole new way.

Brooklyn-born photographer Louis Stettner took a series of photos of Penn Station back in the 1950s and they are now being released in an oversized, glossy coffeetable book, “Penn Station, New York,”(released yesterday). Get a first look at his stunning photos here.
