Police released a sketch of a suspect who was reportedly walking around Brooklyn in the nude when he attempted to rape a woman only steps from her home in August.

Authorities said the 23-year-old woman was walking home around 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 29 near East 55th Street and Avenue J when the man grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and groped her.

He tried to rape her during the struggle but broke free, the New York Daily News reportedat the time.

“Pray for me,” the man reportedly told her, before running away.

The woman told police she’d never seen the man before, but witnesses said he was an emotionally disturbed person who lived in the neighborhood.

In fact, police said the man was captured on surveillance video before, first seen walking naked down East 52nd Street near Avenue J at about 6 a.m. on Aug. 12.

The man was described as black man between the ages of 25 and 35 years old, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build.
