Police: Woman booked after trying to take boy from Central Park

Police arrested a woman accused of attempting to kidnap a 2-year-old boy from Central Park last week.

On the morning of May 12 the suspect, Cecile Jackson, allegedly picked the boy up from a swing on the Heckscher Playground and tried to leave the park. The baby’s nanny stopped Jackson from taking the boy and she fled, police said.

Jackson, 35, has been arrested on second-degree attempted kidnapping, police said Wednesday.
