Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly attempted to rape a woman as she jogged in Prospect Park.
Around 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, a woman jogging near Garfield Place and Prospect Park West was allegedly attacked from behind, police reported.
RELATED:Man arrested for attempted rape at Manhattan hotel after returning to get cellphone The woman told police a black man who was approximately 6 feet tall with light facial hair threw her to the ground, produced a knife and said that he was going to sexually assault her.
The victim resisted against the alleged attacker, causing him to eventually flee but leaving the woman with a cut on her finger, police added. She was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
