Police are looking for a man they say knocked an elderly woman to the ground in Queens earlier this week just to steal her groceries.

On March 23 at about 12 p.m. the 87-year-old victim was walking near Cypress Hills Street and Shaler Avenue when she was approached by the suspect who knocked her down to the ground, according to authorities.

The man then pulled out a firearm and took the woman’s grocery bags before fleeing, police said.
