A Molotov cocktail was reportedly thrown at CityScapes Gentlemen’s Club on Thursday morning, the same place where New York Knick Cleanthony Early was robbed and shot the night before, fueling speculation that area strip clubs are being targeted for crime.

Police are searching for the person responsible for hurling a Molotov cocktail at the Maspeth, Queens, strip club where Cleanthony Early was robbed the day before, Pix 11 reported, adding that no one was hurt in the subsequent blaze.

A green Nissan Altima containing two men was reportedly seen fleeing the location around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, ABC stated in a related article, and now authorities are looking for the vehicle as it may also be connected to Early’s shooting on Wednesday.

The incident involving Early may also be related to a rash of other strip club crimes that have taken place in Queens and the Bronx during the last three months, including a non-fatal shooting and attempted robbery outside Show Palace Gentlemen’s Club in Long Island City, the New York Post added.

No arrests have been made in Early’s shooting or the Molotov cocktail attack, according to the New York Daily News.
