Queens shooting ends homicide-free streak

A Queens man was shot and killed on Friday, ending a nearly two-week period without a reported homicide in New York City.

Police responded to 91-35 89th Street in Woodhaven around 11:51 a.m. Friday, and found Eric Roman, 28, shot in the head, hand and leg.

Roman was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition, and died on Saturday,

No one has been arrested in connection with his shooting, and the investigation continues, police said.

The Daily News reported that a suspected shooter fled in a dark Mercedes Benz.
