The Rangers continued the cardiac theme to their 2015 postseason Saturday afternoon in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final as they narrowly defeated the Lightning, 2-1, at Madison Square Garden. It was the 15th straight one-goal postseason game for the Blueshirts, the unquestioned kings of the nail-biter.

Dominic Moore was the hero for New York Saturday afternoon, scoring with 2:25 left in regulation. Moore's game-winner came just 30 seconds after he jumped out of the penalty box. Derek Stepan tallied the other Rangers goal, which came at the 19:47 mark of the second period.

Tampa Bay's Ondrej Palat netted the Lightning's lone goal at 6:45 in the third. Henrik Lundqvist was again solid for the Rangers as he deflected 23 shots. Tampa Bay's Ben Bishop had 28 saves.

Game 2 of the ECF is Monday (8 p.m., NBCSN), again at Madison Square Garden.
