We’re just shy of two months ahead of the “Twin Peaks” revival, which is more than enough time to immerse — or re-immerse — yourself in the dreamlike world of Lynch and his cult show. You can knock out the first two seasons of the series, available to stream on Netflix and Showtime. Also of note: Entertainment Weekly has a cover story out today with cast and creator interviews, exclusive photos and teasers. And now there’s another way to get hooked in even more: Starting today, IFC debuts The Films of David Lynch, a two-week long retro that will give you your fill of the surreal auteur’s body of work. The series, which runs through Thursday, April 6, kicked off this morning with Lynch’s first feature film, “Eraserhead,” which got a $4,000 restoration to celebrate its 40th anniversary (with more showtimes today and through the weekend). If you can knock off work early, “Blue Velvet” brings sinister suburban vibes (starring baby-faced Laura Dern and Kyle McLachlan) to the screen at 5 p.m. The festival covers all the essential Lynch films — from “The Elephant Man” to “Mulholland Drive” — and even some of the more obscure ones, like the critically panned “Dune,” based on the sci-fi novel by Frank Herbert. Especially relevant to “Twin Peaks” fans: On Thursday, March 30, you can catch “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me,” the creepy AF prequel which reveals the Laura Palmer backstory. And there will be a couple opportunities to see Lynch himself in the flesh. On Friday, March 31, the documentary “David Lynch: The Art Life”gets its theatrical premiere, followed by a Q&A between Lynch and director Jon Nguyen, and again on Sat., April 1.
