Shake Shack opening first Staten Island location

Shake Shack is taking over another borough.

The famous burger joint, with more than a dozen locations already in the city, will open its first eatery in the Staten Island Mall, according to SILive.com.

The restaurant ispart of the shopping center’s expansion project. Though the exact location of the Shake Shack hasn’t been determined, it’s expected to open by 2019, Edwin Bragg, vice president of marketing and communications for Shake Shack toldSILive.com.

Currently, there are Shake Shack locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and West Chester, along with several more states and countries.
