NYPD officers arrested a man wielding a box cutter in a Brooklyn subway station, possibly avoiding another subway slashing.
On Wednesday around 7:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man with a box cutter at the Hoyt Street subway station in downtown Brooklyn, authorities reported.

The man complied with officers when told to drop the weapon, and he was placed under arrest.
