Penn Station filled with smoke during the Tuesday evening commute after a train tire caught fire, officials said.
“It was a minor railroad tire fire,” a New York Fire Department spokesman said, adding there was no danger to commuters.
The fire, which ignited around 5:30 p.m. was extinguished quickly. No injuries were reported.
No service delays were reported by the MTAas of 6 p.m.
