Police inadvertently shot two men while dogs were attacking on a Queens street corner.
On Wednesday around 10 a.m., officers responded to a fight at Rockaway Boulevard and 128th Street in South Ozone Park and found two dogs attacking a man as at least two other people were fighting, police said to NBC. The responding officers shot the dogs when they turned to approach the officers, killing them, NBC reported. In the gunfire, two men were hit, police said to NBC, adding that both are expected to survive. Three people were aprehended after the incident, according to NBC, which added that it’s not clear whether they’ll face charges.
